Rose Nylund (Betty White) is a 55+ year-old Norwegian American known for telling funny or peculiar stories about her small farming town of St. Olaf, Minnesota. Rose was happily married to Charlie Nylund, with whom she had four children; three daughters: Kiersten, Bridgette, and Janella, and one son: Adam, and eventually moved to Miami where she worked at a grief counseling center and consumer reporter (Enrique Mas) at a local TV station. She later briefly dated college professor Miles Webber, who ultimately was in the Witness Protection Program.
